Nowadays, spam is a major issue for all Internet related services such as email, forums, blogs, chats, user forms or to put it simply: all services with unmanaged user input. Also, spam-freeness is becoming an important service quality factor and is therefore critical for the success of such a service. This thesis shows the possibilities that exist to face those problems using advanced filtering techniques and combining them with smart agents behavior along with synergetic effects due to centralized processing. It will be described in the context of a reference implementation for the company 21TORR Interactive.
